The new 49 service through the village started today so thought I'd try it out.
Got on the 10:02 to Devizes from the High St / Pitchens End stop. It was about 1 min early. Spoke to the driver to ask what the new route is like to drive - he’d driven twice today and said it was “easy”.

You get a much better view of the beautiful countryside and heritage when you're not driving and up on the top deck.

Spent an hour having a look around the parts of Devizes I've not visited before, and a coffee in the sunshine in the market square.

Got the 11:46 back from Devizes market square to the village hall. Spoke to the driver and he’s drove the route a few times this morning with no problems.

Arrived back at the Village Hall stop at 12:25.

The timetables and live map are below, though I've noticed sometimes the buses don't show up on the map - but they do arrive.
